Shreve & Company of San Francisco Norman Hammered Sterling Silver Pattern

The Shreve & Company of San Francisco Norman Hammered Sterling Silver Pattern is a somewhat stately and plain pattern which displays a lightly hand hammered finish.

The Shreve & Company was founded in 1852 in San Francisco. Similar to Tiffany, the company started in the jewelry business and then eventually branched out into the manufacturing of sterling flatware and holloware items. They made under 12 flatware patterns and a larger variety more of different designed hollowware pieces.

Although the company never reached the stature of Tiffany, their silver pieces are still quite collectible in today's market place.
